Sleep little baby...

Tackling the "all night sleep" is tough for a little guy like Jake.
Jake is officially 7 weeks old today but he sleeps all day still. He also hates to be on his back for any length of time. Josh and I struggled a long time with how we were going to manage to get him to sleep.
For the first 6 weeks he slept in his car seat, or his swing. Everytime we tried putting him in his bassinet he would fuss and cry. We weren't getting enough sleep. I tried to prop him up on his side, but got the same result. So despite all the rules, we started to put him to bed on his tummy. And guess what? He's sleeping great, not quite all night like he was in his swing, but for 5 or 6 hours at a time! What a relief. On to the next hurdle...

Hi Jennifer, I love this idea. It is great for those who are not close and can't run to see him whenever they would like (like some people that I know, can't help it, just "Jake" addicted). Keep plugging away, I think you and Josh are doing a great job. The fact that you discuss what methods you are going to try to use is great. With babies, it is a lot of trial and error. Just as they will have to do when they are growing up. And sad to say, with ever baby it is different. If it wasn't it would be easy, just do as the book says. But then we get to the big question...which book? I say do what feels right with you two and what works for Jake. Kiss my grandbaby for me. Gramma Pershick.
I forgot... no pictures on site, yet? He changes so fast, that even every few days he looks different.
