The Tendencies of a Two-year-old for Terrible Trouble

Recently Jake's napping habits have changed. We all knew that eventually he'd grow out of his 4-hour naps, didn't we? I guess as the parents of a great napper, we were in denial. On Saturday afternoon we put him in his room for his usual 1pm-5pm nap. Jake will sometimes play and make noise until he does finally fall asleep. At 2:30pm we could still hear him playing, rather loudly too. And then all of a sudden - Quiet. Josh was the first to notice, and he looked at me as if to say "Did he really fall asleep?" Then his face contorted a little, and he asked "do you smell something?" I didn't, but Josh went up to check on him anyways. He got to the top of the stairs and yelled down to me... "Jennifer, you better get up here and deal with your child". I figured it was bad. jake knew it was bad too and promptly started crying.

I think the pictures explain everything.

Baby powder. Even now as you walk upstairs you can see little clouds of it. Even Vacuuming hasn't picked it all up.

Jake is in good company. In our house it was his aunt Morgan that had a fight with the baby powder and she looked very similar to her nephew.

Consider yourself lucky. In our house it was nail polish.
