Some summer fun

Sorry, it's been a few days. We've been out enjoying the summer. On Thursday Heidi and Jeremy had a BBQ to celebrate their engagement, Friday I had a mom day at the spa. Yep, got my hair done... And today Josh and I enjoyed the hot tub, It wasn't too hot of a day. While Jake slept most of the day. I think he's going through another growth spurt. Or maybe it's just that he's sleeping better because it's cooler weather.

He's doing a couple of new things... Josh had him cooing today, and Jake was concentrating very hard on copying what Josh was doing. Josh would purse his lips and say "ooooh" and Jake would have a couple of tries at getting his mouth to look like Josh's, then he would attempt to make the sound. A few times he got it real close and Josh would cheer him on. Jake would grin. It was quite fun to watch the two of them. Jake has also discovered a new face that he can make. A really pathetic looking pout. It makes me laugh everytime he does it. I tried all day to get a picture of it. He's so adorable even if a crying stint followed the pouts.
Note the face Jake's making in the top photo? Nope it's not a pout, his Grandma Pershick actually taught him how to stick his toungue out, and now when anyone talks to him face to face, he thinks he'll score points if he sticks his toungue out!
