Day 34 - Book - My Sister's Keeper

This was my Bookclub's choice this month and I originally wasn't keen on it. I wasn't sure about how depressed I wanted to be, especially considering the lack of sun was already doing a number on me. But it was without a doubt the most interesting and beautiful story I have read in a very long time. I highly recommend it with all my heart. It won me over from Chapter 1. Finished it in 3 days. It was wonderful. However, fair warning, I was also so addicted to Twilight, I would arrive to work early just so I had 15 minutes in the parking lot to read it.

I read this about a year ago. The whole part about how they found out the older sister had cancer by the bruises on her back, holy cow, at the time I was reading it Lily was 2 and that night I had given her a bath and she had a bunch of bruises on her back (probably from crawling under the coffee table) and I just started bawling and bawling and I was freaked out. Jason made me not read it for a few days until my hormones leveled out a bit, I was pregnant with Emily at the time and highly emotional. But it was an excellent book. I've also read Salem Falls and am currently reading Vanishing Act by Jodi Picoult.
